RT 300
Grimme Rota Tilla 300 cultivator. Cultivation for potatoes is not easy on heavy lands. Traditional cultivator do not crumble the soil fine enough and multiple journeys across the field compact the soil. With the RT 300 many tines crumble the soil without ground pressure.
For front attachment is the machine kept with a large roller on the ground. At the rear forms the shaping board well-shaped ridges that the tractor does not refasten the soil. The housing is spring loaded to remove the soil via vibration. The rotor shaft can run either in front or rear attachment. The rotor shafts kept in flanges.
GF Series
The expectations of cultivators are very high, as their intensive soil cultivation requires consistency and reliability. At the same time, they are expected to work smoothly and cultivate large areas. The GF-series Rotary Hiller offer you these benefits. They intensively cultivate the soil while destroying annoying clods. The soil thus becomes loose and can be used for ridge forming and makes up the basis for a harvest with a higher yield. Furthermore, these rotary hiller can be converted to full width cultivators with a few manual actions prior to planting.
Use the rotary hiller as a full width rotary hiller: With a few manual actions, the Grimme Rotary Hiller becomes suitable for classic soil cultivation, also in combination with the GL 34 T, a 4-row planter.

The third step – planting into separated beds. Various cup planter from the GL 30 series as well as the belt planter from the GL 40 series are available as bed planting machines. Your advantage: both series use he loose soil for planting and shape the ridges in one step. You can rely on the power and reliability, for planting – with Grimme.
The first step of the separation system is to set up the beds. The shaping of the beds is a decisive first working step. The track and bed width is determined by this step. – Grimme offers two basic models: the large Bedforma of the BF-series for use especially on medium to heavy soil with big stones and large amount of clods. The BFL-series for use on all soil as well as for smaller beds. The long side shapers keep the loose soil in the bed, reventing it for falling back into the furrow. The BF/BFL 200 models shape with each crossing of the field two beds, the BF/BFL 600 models shape 3 or 4 beds. Decide for the exact shaped beds with even distances and clean, constantly deep furrows. Robust example: The 2-row GL 32 T was developped on the basis of the successful model GL 34 T. Thanks to the very stable and compact frame, the bunker can hold up to 2,500 kg.
The potato planter GL 32 T is ideal for planting into beds. Long and stable soil retention plates keep the soil in the beds for following ridge shaping. The GL 32 T planter is available for bed width from 1.65 to 2.00 meter and with the large bunker capacity recommended for long fields.

GL34F/KL
Robust constructed planter ideal for those who are looking for a versatile, mounted machine, easy to operate and economical for the daily use. The machine benefits from the practical detailed solution of the innovative planting elements of the GL 30 series. With fix hopper and height adjustable furrow opener with wearing resistance share. Furrow opener on parallelogram available as option. Covering discs with ball bearing. The robust frame and axle construction is based on the stable 4-row machine. „With 8 rows on the road“ is the headline of the report about the GL 840 Compacta in the German agricultural magazin „profi“. A conclusion which gives the basic message about the machine.
The new developed 8-row folding planter GL 840 Compacta increases output and provide quicker travel from field to field. A machine especially for areas with smaller fields as with the innovative compacta-folding system the necessity of an off-set drawbar or extra transport trailer becomes void.
The machine folds in fully automatically with the push of one button on the touch screen terminal VC 50 which comes standard with the machine. The two outer planting elements at each side are hydraulically folded out for the working position. It also folds out the shaping board or cage roller (option) and lowers the 4 ton bunker to prepare to work. The machine has a unique telescopic drawbar to ensure stability on slopes and agility of the machine. The drawbar retraces automatically for road transport.
The GL 840 Compacta has the advantage of a 4-row trailed planter but is twice as productive as the time of turning at the headlands is halved. The well proven and reliable Grimme planting elements ensure an exact planting of the potatoes. As the machine is a foldable unit the hydraulic drive of the planting cups comes as standard with it. The list of available various options as bunker variants, shaping boards etc. make the machine attractive for contractors as well as for the final customer.
8-row compact folding planter – to harvest success in the future.
The compact potato planters of the GL 40 T-series are a good choice, for planting potatoes in narrow spacing. Also for planting of unsorted or not well sorted seed as well as with very long and thick tubers is not a problem. The hydraulically operated tipping bunker transports the seed onto four, hydraulically driven belts. The sensor operated conveyor controls the transfer to the belt planting elements and ensures an even feed. The whole operation is simply controlled with the operator terminal GBT 2100 from the driver’s cab. Also simple is the setting of the planting distance – the required amount of potatoes per hectare is controlled from the terminal. To detect every single miss function, an additional terminal is available as option. Another plus: pulled furrow opener in parallelogram as standard.

The 2-row, off-set trailed potato harvester for high output per hectare per day. The modular design tailors the machine to suit individual requirements. Simple operation of settings and for maintenance, designed for easy harvest in difficult conditions.
Good view to the right-hand side intake and with the well dimensioned picking table enable a simple operation. 2 main webs, one followed by the other, ensure highest separation and gentle crop handling: because the use of two webs avoids rolling of the crop and optimizes the separation on the 1st web. Following the 2nd main web sieves off the rest of the soil, the deviner web separates the haulm and the crop flows gently onto the following separator – all in one working step! During the Agritechnica 2009 in Hanover, the world’s largest exhibition for agricultural machinery and equipment, Grimme introduced a new high-performance separator for output increase as well as a new 5.8 ton overloading bunker for the new, two-row trailed potato harvester SE 150-60:
The new heavy-duty separator was developed for increasing the digging speed and is most practical in case of high yields as well as for windrowing. During that procedure the SE 150-60 may take in 4 rows at once.This yield increase is realized by an extension of the 1st separator (1) and the enlarging of the 2nd separator (2). In addition, the 1st separator is equipped with 3 instead of 2 scraper rollers (3).

In terms of capacity and clean performance, the new Grimme VARITRON 270 with 7 ton bunker is one of the most powerful self-propelled harvesters. Already last year the company introduced a pure elevator version of this machine.
The new VARITRON 220 with 2 ton intermediate bunker is developed for customers who appreciate the advantages of an elevator version and do not wish to loose time during transposition manoeuvre or while changing the transport wagon.
For emptying the bunker both a long and a short moving-floor bunker web are conveying the crop sensor-controlled in the high-capacity 1.2 m wide transfer elevator which also provides for an even filling. Due to the new longitudinal flow principle while harvesting, the drop step of the p.o.b. web into the bunker and during emptying the bunker stays constantly small due to the fact that no dump cone is moved sideways.

The intake consists of 5 wheels, assembled on one cross tube, which run in the furrow beside the 4 ridges. The tube is mounted on either side of the main web channel, which is in turn fixed to a moving arm. Supported by two bearings it retains a low maintenance design and controls following functions: depth control, yawing movements and additionally takes the pressure from the front axle, side control of the drills, intake of haulm at the side and avoids crop losses between the shares.
Year by year haulm cutting becomes more and more important for the harvest. For more than one good reason: Haulm toppers do not only allow an easier harvesting but also guarantee a more efficient harvest!Haulm cutting several weeks before harvesting is one important step to wards a successful harvest. It influences the yield, the quality and the storability of the potatoes.
Whether it is for table, processing or seed potatoes: haulm cutting is an essential part of the campaign. Even for starch potatoes it is becoming more and more important; especially because topping before harvest produces even maturing and skin setting. This means that the potato is less sensitive and the roots detach easier from the crop.
Another advantage: Less haulm during harvest means increased speed during digging – the refore increased output. Less haulm leads to less damage and less work for the separator. The result is better separation of the crop. The crop is cleaner and potato losses are reduced. – With the haulm topper you get more for yourself!
Wherever “clean and bright potato skins” and set skin potatoes are required by the farmer or the customer, Grimme windrowers can be found. And whoever thought that these machines are only for small acreages is wrong. Because: Both have harvest technology taken from the Grimme 2-row harvesters. And because of their reliability, high output and low maintenance these machines are ideal for harvesting large areas. The GVR and RL 1700 (with extended main web) are generally used in fields where harvesting “by hand” is normal. The RL 1700 (with haulm separation) is mainly used for the 2-stage harvest system. The potatoes are windrowed into a 50 cm wide bed. After the drying period, where the potato skins set and increase their resilience, a conventional potato harvester then lifts the crop.This system also increases the output of the potato harvester. – Together you are harvesting success!

Its modular design combines the proven digging units from the SE family with different separating units. With a long main web and centre discharge, the machine is specifically designed for areas, where potato harvesting is still "genuinely" manual lobour intensive.
With additional haulm separation and the centre discharge, it is mainly used for 2-phase harvesting process, where the potatoes´skin becomes more durable during a drying phase. You can do even more with side discharge: uncover 2 rows, deposit in the centre between the next rows and then pickup once again in 2 rows. This will make your harvsting process 2+2=4 rows.
