Land Based Engineering Apprenticeship Opportunities

Start your engineering career with real machines, real tools, and real experience.

We are offering multiple Land Based Engineering Apprenticeship positions, with opportunites available at all of our depots for the right candiates. This is an excellent route into the world of agricultural engineering, combining hands-on workshop experience with structured college training.

You'll work alongside experienced service technicians while studying towards a recognised Land Based Engineering qualification through block-release college training.

What You'll Learn

  • Servicing and maintaining agricultural machinery
  • Diagnostics and fault finding
  • Mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems
  • Safe workshop practices
  • Manufacturer standards and procedures
  • Customer-ready machine preparation

You'll gain practical experience from day one, supported by trained mentors and a structured development plan.


What We're Looking For

We're looking for motivated, practical individuals who:

  • Enjoy working with machinery and tools
  • Like problem solving
  • Are reliable and willing to learn
  • Work well as part of a team
  • Have predicted GCSE (or equivalent) pass grades especially Maths, English and a technical subject where possible

Training Structure

  • Employed apprentice role from day one
  • Workshop-based learning at your chosen depot
  • Block-release college attendance
  • Recognised Land Based Engineering qualification
  • Ongoing mentoring and skills development

Planned start date: Mid-August, with first college block from around September.

Applications close: 31st March

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to an Assessment Selection Morning in May, followed by final interviews in June.
