If you are a dedicated, self-motivated and highly skilled engineer with a passion for construction machinery, or if you have experience as a service engineer or technician in another industry and are looking for a change of direction, then we would love to hear from you.

    The ideal candidate will have…

    • NVQ level 2/3 in plant equipment or HGV. Product training will be available for the right candidate.
    • Have previous experience of PDI and machine building, scheduled maintenance and be confident enough to demonstrate machinery to customers.
    • Experience of hydraulic systems and electronics, being capable of diagnosing faults and performing repairs to a high standard.
    • Hold a current CSCS card and be compliant with internal and external health & safety policies, quality assurance and environmental legislation, working safely at all times.
    • Capable of working alone but also part of a bigger team.
    • You must hold a current driving licence and be prepared to work on customers sites, completing paperwork to aide efficient administration and invoicing.

Career opportunity - Group Service Manager


  • B&B Tractors is a successful, family-owned business established in 1991 and now employing over 80 people across 4 depots. We are one of the East Midlands leading AGCO dealers, supporting Massey Ferguson, Fendt and Valtra, along with many other fantastic brands.
  • To further strengthen our aftersales departments and to support our future growth plans, we are looking for a Group Service Manager to join our team. Forming part of the group management structure and reporting to the senior management team, you will have responsibility for the service operation and will be vital in driving the business forward. The role will be based at our Head office in Warsop, but will also require regular visits to our Tideswell, Fauld and Dodworth branches, so a central location would be ideal. If you are a dedicated, self-motivated, and highly skilled service manager wanting to progress to the next level, or if you have a proven record of managing an aftersales team in an agricultural or similar industry, then we would love to hear from you.
  • Responsibilities:
  • • - Monitoring individual and overall service department performance against budgets & targets
  • •- Ensuring the service departments are operating in line with the aftersales strategy and are delivering premium
  • customer support
  • • - Maintain effective service processes across all workshops to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction
  • • - Continued development of service policy and procedures adapting to business and manufacturer requirements
  • • - Assist with technical support and guidance for any major/high value repairs to ensure a first-time fix that can be
  • invoiced successfully
  • • - Work in conjunction with the Group Marketing, Parts and Aftersales Managers and to help develop, maintain and
  • implement the service marketing plan for the group
  • • - Monitor and support service departments to achieve targeted labour sales, efficiencies, and contribution to increase
  • aftersales absorption to the required level
  • • - Actively support customer clinics, field days, shows and related promotional events
  • • - Focus on increasing the sales of extended warranty and service contracts
  • • - Coaching, development and training of service management and administration teams
  • • - Meet customers on regular basis to resolve disputes and ensure customer satisfaction
  • • - Ensure warranty requirements are met by the service teams in coordination with the Group Warranty Manager
  • • - Determine and maintain all service department special tools/equipment, making sure service vehicles are in good
  • working order with an agreed replacement policy for the fleet
  • • - Recruit, hire and develop service staff in coordination with service managers, ensuring key talent is retained
  • • - Manage the annual service department training programme to ensure technicians are continually developing their
  • skills
  • • - Carry out service management and service administration staff appraisals
  • • - Ensure all health and safety policies and procedures are enforced and adhered to within the service departments
  • • - Regularly communicate with customers, colleagues, manufacturers, and suppliers to promote and drive forward the
  • service operation


  • Skills required for the role:
  • • - Agricultural machinery technical or service management experience is essential
  • • - High level of IT and computer skills with knowledge of Ibcos Gold DMS system preferred
  • • - Excellent customer management and communication skills
  • • - Technical knowledge of agricultural machines
  • • - Ability to speak effectively one-on-one and within a group
  • • - Exhibits a positive mental attitude and decision-making skills
  • • - Open-minded with the focus and drive to continuously improve
  • • - Understanding of financial principles relative to Service Department operations
  • • - Able to work in a high-pressure environment, particularly during busy periods

Career opportunity - Isuzu Service Technician


  • We have a vacancy for a fully qualified vehicle service technician to join the service team at our Fauld depot in Staffordshire.
  • B&B Tractors is a successful family owned business established in 1991 and now employing over 80 people across 4 depots in the East Midlands. Covering Burton-on-Trent and Staffordshire for Isuzu sales and service, we are one of the East Midlands leading Isuzu dealers. As an Isuzu main dealer and centre of excellence, you will be working on the full range of Isuzu vehicles we sell and support.
  • The successful candidate should be a qualified vehicle technician (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent) who is competent in the service, diagnosis and repair of vehicles to manufacturer standards. Experience in working for a franchised main dealer would be advantageous, although full Isuzu technical training will be provided.
